Teddy's take:

When I walked in the gate I thought it would take 15 runs for us to win due to the wind -
In the end it would of taken 14
When Ole Glory shoots straight up on the centerfield flag pole, no lead is safe and nearly all pitchers are vulnerable -
That said, I might of tweaked how I trotted out the pitchers - a bit
We had numerous opportunities to add to the lead but couldn't due to their #46 - when they went to him he had enough pop (my guess he was touching 92) and great location to get the job done but it still took two great catches against the wall by the Hogs to preserve the game for them.
Yesterday was like Wrigley with the wind blowing out
I think it was a learning lesson for our HC too with our ballpark -
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Blue numbers on black jerseys are too hard to read from a distance (just like a red T on a red helmet).
With blue, red, white, and gray, there's no need for black jerseys.
Not for us who have witnessed lots of ballgames in that park with the wind blowing like it was yesterday (and given the fact there were still 7 FULL innings to play) - turns a small park into a VERY TINY PARK
IF we had blown the lead Tuesday night leading 4-1 going into the 9th, to me that would of been a choke solely due to how the ball park was playing with the wind blowing in and aiding the pitchers...
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
They don't make TWO game saving catches against the wall to end innings and we score a minimum of 4 more runs...
Had great scoring opportunities in the 6th and 8th -
Can't remember the exact line score, but I think the hits were even or we outhit them by one - we had two errors but they were a none factor if I remember correctly..
The walks hurt the most - you can't walk batters with the wind like it was yesterday
Baseball is a fickle game, especially with the wind blowing out

This guy didn't help...

There were courtesy golf carts transporting fans from parking lots to Love Field. First time I've ever noticed that at any Tech game.
I used them at UAPB game

This will go down as a missed opportunity for our resume come NCAA selection time. It won't affect our RPI much, but the committee has to see marquee series wins on our resume to get an at-large bid and good seeding. A split doesn't help us there. Since we didn't take two from Arkansas, we will likely need at least a couple big series wins over Rice, Southern Miss, Wichita State, or ULL.
This year isn't like last year with most of our big opportunities at the end of the season. This year 13 of our 14 big games will be played by April 9 unless a surprise team emerges.
I know this is WAY too early for RPI, but http://warrennolan.com/baseball/2017...Conference-USA
