3/9 UAB vs Tech (C-USA Tournament)

C-UAB has been an institution of entitlement after they decided they did not want to play (foot)ball with the rest of the C-USA members. The "We have football" chant a couple of years ago? It was too easy. If any other conference member's administration had done such an irrational thing they would've faced the same wrath as C-UAB.

If they can't support a conference tourney better than this, look out this fall when they DO have football.

Is Tech vs. C-UAB becoming an emotional rivalry among its fans? Apparently so. Too bad our first time back on the gridiron is in Birmingham this fall. Seems like we were just there last time they had a team.

No way UAB shoots that poorly in the 2nd half. They'll probably score 40 pts in the 2nd half. So, we need to get into rhythm and start scoring more consistently.

We are playing good defense, which is making life tough for the Worms. But, have to expect some adjustments by them. First 5 mins of the 2nd half is huge.

Okay, so I was wrong. They scored 39 pts in the 2nd half.

I also find it curious that some Rice fan is bashing us, including in football, saying we have peaked and will never be more than we are now. If I were a Rice "Shit" Owl fan I'd pick on someone else. We can name our score against the lil birdies. The once mighty Rice Owls, member of the old SWC. They are nothing but a footnote in history.

As for UAB fans...eff 'em! Their school sucks. Their teams suck. And they, the fans, suck.

The big market schools are simply jealous of the success of a school from little ole Ruston. Many of their comebacks are attempts to insult Ruston.

other than Marshall in football 3 years ago and UAB in basketball 2 years ago- all the senior CUSA teams have been in the back seats observing Tech, MTSU, and WKU dominating in all the major sports.

The once mighty Rice Owls, member of the old SWC. They are nothing but a footnote in history.

The once mighty Rice Owl have not been mighty since the 1950's. So they tied with four other teams for the last SWC championship. It took the upset of the century for them to beat Texas in a driving rainstorm. They barely beat us in 1965 when we were a lowly College Division school. As for the footnote in history, there was the famous time that an Alabama player ran off the bench to tackle a Rice player about to score a TD. I can't remember if the Ricie or Alabama player's name was Maegle. But it was the Cotton Bowl.

Just remember Ricies are weird. I had an acquaintance who was a Ricie who introduced himself as Weird Harold.

That's not a Rice fan. The guy you are referring to is a fan of the FAU Owls. So unlike Rice, he's really in no position to point fingers at others.
