We would have won a final game against Moo State. Just couldn't get there.

Well to be fair, it's hard to leave runners stranded when you don't get any on base. I think they got only 1 or 2 on base the entire game, and we picked off one. They couldn't strand runners because we wouldn't let them get there to begin with. Both of their runs were homers.

That said, it still stings to leave that many stranded. This game shouldn't have been close.

    Okay here I go...

I'll check later for the telling stat, but we are over blowing the "runners left on base" thing.

Usually a team with high numbers of "runners left on base" has a high number because they also have a high number of "runners reaching base". The percentage of how many are left on base related to the number reaching base is the telling number.

-Last night that number happened to be high due to the inconsistent strike zone by the home plate ump. It was obvious throughout the game.

-Ever notice that fans don't complain much about runners left on base during wins of a large margin or runners left on after their team scores several runs in one inning?

We are a good team. This stat is not a concern for a 12-1 team.
