DAWGS win 69-57!
Go Marshall!
So what time does UAB want to play tomorrow? Hahahahaha! NOT!
Wow. 15 zip Turds with 6 &1/2 minutes gone.
ODU woke up. 1 point game.
So . . . how was the crowd?
Here's an article about Wednesday's turnout:
http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2017/03/epic_fail_for_birmingham_on_op.html
"Did the smallish crowd that attended UAB's first-round game of the Conference USA Tournament at Legacy Arena on Wednesday night represent the actual level of support for Blazers basketball? If so, UAB football might be in trouble once again when it restarts this fall.
Certainly there were more than a few thousand fans in the largest city in Alabama, and one of the largest in the country without a major sports team, who wanted to watch the hometown team play in its conference basketball tournament.
Did people not know about the game? Did Ray Watts forget to flash the dragon signal across Southside's skyline?
I was there, and the basketball game was amazing, but the size of the crowd was pathetic. UAB defeated Charlotte 74-73 on an accidental alley-oop by Blazers star William "Haha" Lee. It was stunning, and first-rate entertainment, if not exactly first-rate basketball. The arena reported an attendance figure of 6,410 for the game. Maybe half that amount actually was there.". . .. .
