I think he gets to serve his suspension while in IR. The bad news is he will now have to deal with increased testing frequency. He has now been suspended for PED's and substance abuse. In addition to increased testing he will be suspended for a longer time on his next failed test. He really needs to get some help or his NFL career could be in real jeopardy. Two suspensions and one year missed for injury before he rushed for 400 yards or started a game. Not a great start.
To bad for Dixon. This year could have been his year to breakthrough if he could have stayed in the lineup. Terrance West is now thier one dimensional lead back and he's not half the back Dixon is. Dixon's pass catching ability alone would have earned him significant playing time. I don't think the Ravens can afford to wait on a player that's injured and one who has already been suspended in such a short career.
Kinda not the point. Whether the NFL is right or wrong about weed is immaterial. They REQUIRE him to quit smoking weed in order to remain employed in the NFL. If the NFL told me I had to quit drinking iced tea in order to keep my multi-million dollar NFL contract in tact, I'd quit drinking iced tea.
No, more harsh. Josh gordon has missed three years for weed. Devine Bess basically got a lifetime ban. You can beat your wife and miss less games.
It's just silly. As it becomes legal in states throughout the US, the NFL shows no leniency. Gordon was one of the best receivers in the league and he was only 23. No character issues. Just enjoyed a lighting a plant on fire and inhaling the smoke like past presidents and many prominent Americans have. It's sad
