    1. Because it isn’t as fragile as some of you say. It won’t go away until it goes away on its own accord - and if anything will kill it, it will be persistent absolute pessimism about the future. That is the only thing that will kill it.

    2. Because like other effective memes, it’s “success” is on its own terms, without regard for what is best for the hosts. Just like Republicans don’t advocate for complete capitalism, we aren’t really watching a political battle between bona fide capitalist Republicans and bona fide socialist Democrats. Instead people on the political spectrum support various degrees of a mixed economy. If we let capitalism have its way, the result would be very brutal for most. Ironically, most of the folks that threw their support behind Trump were the “victims” of capitalism’s creative destructive forces that will kill jobs and industries whenever it is slightly more efficient to do so.

As I said, no political party could kill capitalism even if they wanted to.

The Communist Party could. At least, the way we (and by "we" I mean society in general) use the term, and its intended definition.

Every country that tries communism eventually succumbs to capitalist markets.

Of course, if one wanted to make the US communist, the first thing you would have to do is have a protectionist trade policy.

This is true, but only after millions die and those that survive are reduced to eating sawdust. As more and more Democrats are calling for a move to socialism in the US, it's worth noting that freedom loving capitalists in this country won't go the route of socialism without a fight, and I mean that literally. The out of control media in this country is certainly doing its part in trying to bring about violent conflict among US citizens.

You excel at being wrong! That is not the "first thing you would have to do." In fact, it wouldn't even be in the top 20 of things to do.

How are you going to have a government-controlled market function if people can bypass it by participating in foreign trade?

Because commie government controlled industries participate in international trade. It's not their "trade policy" that controls said trade, those industries. The government is already in control of what those industries do.

And again, trade policy is nowhere near the top of you commies' "to do" list. You must not be attending your local neighborhood commie meetings often enough. Or maybe while there you are too busy posting stupid stuff here and not paying attention.

So much for the “witch hunt” claim.

Manafort will plead guilty to one count of conspiracy against the United States and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice, according to documents filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

    Re: Russia

It is a witch hunt! Nothing has changed in that regard.

And this is the most useless special counsel in history. What Manafort is alleged to have done should have been caught by the IRS. Of course, good ole Reverend Al Sharpton pulled a $50 million tax fraud and he skates because he's on the correct side of the political fence, which is mostly pro-Swampish.

Meanwhile WE KNOW that Krooked Killary and the DNC leadership colluded with Russian operatives and others to create a fake dossier, and then their allies in the FBI blatantly lied to the FISA Court about it. While that pales in comparison to Fast & Furious and Uranium One, it is nonetheless, illegal activity in a federal election. Mueller has no interest in pursuing the real criminal activity of his political friends and allies.

I've told you before, goosey, your lies and fake news don't work here. We know the truth. Take your fantasy land crapola to some blog frequented by ignorant snowflakes. They'll probably buy it. (I mean "buy it" as an expression, as good lib snowflakes think they should get their fake news for free. Uncle Bernie promised them "fake news" is a right, not a privilege).

    I might agree, but I wouldn't say that's a good thing.

I would like for them to get to Trump if they are going to do it. They seem to be dragging things out for effect.
