I liked the Vegas tournament we did a few years back. Not preferable, of course, but can get some more play time for this young team.

You guys crack me up. As if Tech basketball is some elite program that is "above" some pay-to-play tourney. We are a mediocre program that hasn't danced in 26 years. There are 200 programs better than us, year after year. And even lousy programs who actually have more success, from time to time. Get over yourselves.

So, should Tech accept ANY post season tourney? Yes. Provided Konkol plans to use it to get the youngsters additional practice and playing time. Given that, there should be NO QUESTION about Tech getting whatever post season tourney we can get. Want to get better? Do you? Do you want Tech to shake off this mediocrity? Well then, MORE practice and MORE games is the answer.

I think we have been above the middle, but can't finish. Not that I expected us to even get this far at the beginning of the year. I TOTALLY agree with any extra games and practice being a good idea for our very young team!

This is a harse rebuke, but spot on. Our record was 4-9 against teams in the top 200 RPI. 19-1 against teams 200+. Do we need more practice? I agree with a resounding yes. I was very hopeful heading into the conference tourney, but I suppose I was misleading myself looking at the 23 wins and not accounting for who they were actually against.

Maybe we should play basketball in the Southland. I think I'm joking, but not sure.

If we were a senior-laden team and those guys had done all the right things off the court then I'd say send them to a tourney for a last chance to play together. This is a young team so I say no on the pay for play.

    I'm in the no category.

Our wins were against swac teams and mediocre c-USA teams. (The c-USA isn't very good)

It was a mediocre season, let it go.

Doesn't matter....... We need the extra play and practice for our young team. I want to go to prepare for next year.

I hear this one a lot. Will a few days of practice and a couple of extra games in March really hold over until they begin practice in the fall?
