I still go to 2-3 basketball games a year, but I know the way the story will end. Doesn't matter what are seeding is going into the conference tournament, we're gonna choke.
As for baseball, as long as our key arms stay healthy, we have the team to make it to Omaha. It's a very weird feeling being this optimistic about Tech baseball.
It was a classic choke job. Don't let PD or anybody else disuade you from telling the truth. Anytime a team ranked in the Top 25 loses to a team ranked #200+, it's a choke job.
It sounds like we got out-smarted by the ASU coaching staff. After winning the 1st game by 16 (?) runs, we still managed to turn around and lose the next by 1? Yep, whether it's true or not, ASU just LOOKS smarter than us this weekend.
2-2 against Arkansas teams. 11-0 against everyone else.
Oh chit! my memory is getting worse than I thought. I had thought it was NCAA, NIT, NCAA....I got all three years wrong!
And we were 0-3, although, and I may be wrong about this too, we lost thee competitive "road" games. I think we lost close games to DePaul in Chicago, to Vandy in OT in Nashville, and to Wake Forest in North Carolina, not their home court but practically so.
But, yeah, Loyd proved to be a mistake.... Of course, it's not like that's been Tech's ONLY coaching mistake, across all the sports.
No choke job...baseball can't be viewed or analyzed like other sports HD. You know that. winning 2 out of 3 on the road is always the goal, no matter the opponent. Didn't get a chance to close out due to weather. Just want to make sure that everyone here is realistic when it comes to baseball because we now have a program that will bring review and posting and chatter. Sorry to jump in here since I don't post much, but just had to make sure that everyone be realistic because we will lose some games that by "name" may not look right, but it is the nature of the sport.
Stop being a stranger. We really like to read your baseball insight.
