That's what makes me wonder. I'm sure he went to camps and was evaluated by a variety of coaches. Doesn't look slow to me. He lacks some lateral movement, mostly moves straight forward but he's not slow.
I prefer juco over grad transfers (Houston Bates being an exception) at LB. Guys like Tony and Villamez were good gets.

Those are the only schools that seem to be interested in him right now. Altho we've had issues with the service academies in the past.
Slow? he ran down a WR from 10 yards behind. Slow? I don't think so. Besides, even if his 40-time is a tenth or so "slow" he's a playmaker. Smart players make up for some lack of pure athleticism by knowing where to be, where to go, thus they gain back a lost step.
Also, he comes from a winning HS program. If you want to be successful in life, surround yourself with successful people.
