Good get! Our former coaching staff loved him and thought he had NFL potential. Lot of length and athleticism. Originally committed to us as an OLB but wants to play offense so he decommitted, and Bielema offered him as a WR late before he was let go.

Indeed, this is a HUGE pickup for LA Tech!! Wren is as big kid, and could be the next Carlos Henderson or Quinton Patton.

Read article this morning that he was ranked #24 Athlete in nation. He turned down Arkansas because they wanted him to play defense. I’m not beating a dead horse but Holtz and staff continue to recruit solid athletes — his post says what kind of young man he appears to be. Hope he signs this month ( early signing day 20fh?)

I really like his blocking from the WR position, that is a key for all of these spread type of offenses. I think losing Conner Smith had a gif effect on our offensive production this year. He was responsible for a lot of YAC.

I agree that we need a few of them on the team, but not too many to disrupt team chemistry. I am not sure if we have any now.

Ferguson -- Amik loves to taunt other players and not shy about hitting people. Never knows what goes on with OL --lot of trash talk and hitting

quick update -- just got off Rivals -- we have 4 Mesquite commits - 3 are 3 star with Wren being the most recruited BJ William Brad Calhoun DJ Jackson -- last 3 committed 6-8 months ago so who knows

3tars-- Windhorn (37 athlete in state) last week commit Elija Hines ( film looks like Boston) Aaron Allen ( qb) -- leaving someone out I think--
