Bates nor Skelton even made contact with any of those pitches to strike out in the B8th. Jordan Washam barely fouled one of his pitches then also struck out swinging at a pitch near his ears.

I'm calling it now. If we beat the JUCO at home, it will be just barely. How did this team get off to such a good start? I'm telling you it's like watching two different teams. It's almost like we're losing on purpose. Nobody could play that $hitty by accident.

Those were unearned runs off an error. Not on the pitching.

SFA's 3rd run shouldn't have happened either. We got burned on a Little League 1st and 3rd delayed steal play that plated a run. Our pitcher then struck out the hitter.

I thought we competed well in our other losses against tough competition, but we didn't compete well tonight against poor competition. This was our first really bad loss of the year. Not a good time to have it either. We needed a nice bounce back win coming off getting swept and heading into a tough Charlotte series this weekend. Tonight our hitters made bad Southland midweek pitching look like Randy Johnson. Ouch. We really really need to take at least two at Charlotte.
