We're starting off the year 0-4 in conference play. Tomorrow being a double header you figure we win maybe one of those. 1-5 or 0-6 start is not how I expected this year to be.

Need a streak-stopping performance from one of our startinging pitchers today.
"It's baseball" excuse is getting old
Something is wrong and it needs to get fixed or we gonna "suck again" will get old too
Where is Cody Daigle?
It's not an excuse. Baseball is about pitching. We are struggling. Baseball sometimes needs clutch hitting. We have struggled since the LaLaff game.
We have the same batters we had last year and we lost 2 weekend starters from last year. It looked like we were fine on pitching (for 10 games) until one of those starters lost his touch. Now we have to reshuffle. While we are reshuffling we have another starter who is struggling.
No excuses, just baseball.
our baseball program had been so bad for so long.....today you can see the pieces of the puzzle falling into place.....we have a solid core being built...a solid recruiting class.....we need to take the next step and get a national level pitching staff in place......you cant build Rome in a day......and the phoenix rising from the ashes of Tech baseball might take a little time to come together.
Now that the core has been established and built.....it will be easier to get high level pitching to Ruston.
Yes, it is mostly about pitching (defense), but our problems are not only about pitching. Striking out 179 times (offense) has been a problem all year and the resulting stranding of double-digit base runners per game has contributed greatly to our woes. Even our fielding has dropped off tremendously with misplayed balls, throwing errors, and just lack of fundamental execution.
Gotta get into their bullpen to win these games... http://www.charlotte49ers.com/cumest...ball&year=2017
Would love to win this series, mainly need to avoid being swept.

I count at least 3-4 excuses in your reply.
Pitchers struggle
Hitters struggle
Injuries?
Player turnover/inexperience
The "it's baseball" excuse only holds water when an inferior team is competitive with or defeats a superior opponent. This board uses it as a blanket way to make light of the real problems which you mentioned in your reply.
There is no fixing "it's baseball".
The coaches better fix what's ailing this team.
We can discuss the problems all day and all night, but the bottom line remains the same. TODAY is the time for this baseball team to EXECUTE and win 1 or two games! No excuses, no exemptions, no waiting until the 7th inning to try to dig out of the hole,...
Do your friggin' job!
