Diaz crowded the plate so close (had his toes on the white line of the batter's box every pitch) that when he got hit with the ball he was not awarded 1st base. Next pitch, he struck out on another inside pitch. Two base runners on base and Boggs strikes out swinging for the 3rd out. Different day, similar start offensively.

3rd inning- Diaz crowds the plate again and strikes out again on another inside pitch. Tech goes down in order in the T3rd. 4 hits, 4 stranded runners and ZERO RUNS for Tech thusfar.

B3rd- Base hit. Next batter bunts toward 1st, Sutton tries to field and flip the ball with his glove = base hit. Next batter two runners score and the batter ends up at 3rd. Sac fly RBI on the next play. Base hit up the middle next batter. Strikeout.

I know that, but he is almost standing on top of the plate today and it is hurting his baseball team. If Diaz would literally back up 1 inch he'd have a HBP and maybe a hit instead of 3 strikeouts all on the inside of the plate.

He was hit by a pitch. The ump said he didn't make an attempt to get out of the way. We lost a base on that call last night too.

Charlotte used alot of pitchers to perserve their win yesterday. Hope it will come back to haunt them today. So far it has.
