T2- Ullrich got an RBI single. Tech leads 1-0.
B2- First batter Homerun to RF. 1-1 Then three straight outs to end the 2nd
T3 Two out double for Diaz. SS robs Lunceford of an RBI single. Still tied 1-1
B3 Hamilton strikes out the side. Great pitching so far.
T4 Boggs singles. Then their RF robs us again catching a ball that was over the fence literally. Ullrich walks with 2 out. Skelton flies out to strand both baserunners.
B4 Charlotte got runners on the corners aided by another Skelton error, but no damage going to the 5th still tied.
Charlotte doesn't score in the 4th with men on the corners. Still tied at 1.
Three straight high flyouts for Tech in T5th.
B5 Ullrich does some robbery of his own making a freakish diving catch in CF. WOW!
Heckuva play by Ulrich for the second out on a diving catch. Skelton for the third out, still tied after 5.
T6 Lunceford leadoff walk. Pitching change. Boggs lifts a flyout to CF. Gladu lifts a flyout to RF. Daigle strikes out stranding Lunceford.
B6 Freshman Sheppard pitching. Base hit, ground out, walk. Pitching change. Casey Sullivan to the mound. Check-swing blooper to LF for an RBI. Strikeout- 2 away. Very questionable '4th ball' loads the bases. Base hit up the middle. Ground out next play, but the damage is already done.

We finally get a decent start and then take him out. I don't get it.
Seemed a little early to take him out to me also. Man our middle relief guys are struggling.
Tech gets a run 4 -2 Charlotte now.
T7 Ullrich got on (missed seeing it). Strikeout, groundout Ullrich advances to 2nd. Base hit RBI by Jon Washam. Diaz singles through the gap. Runners 1/2 Lunceford grounds out to 1st to strand the two runners.

We don't have any middle relief. No matter who we bring in, and how well they may have done in another role, they fail to contain the other team or stop a rally.
We have to have starters that can go deeper into games. And why you would pull Hamilton today is a head scratcher.
T9th still trailing 2-4. Skelton leads off with a single. Pitching change. Our best batter Jordan Washam pop fouls out- 1 away. Another pitching change to Patten, their "version of Nate Harris". Jon Washam hit by pitch. Runners 1/2. Pinch runner Mason Robinson for Washam. Diaz strikes out for 2 away. Lunceford walks- bases loaded. Boggs pop flies out. Dawgs lose.
We have no discipline. Boggs was on a tear today but he shouldn't have been swinging so early in the count. Got to make the closer work for it. We can't seem to tie everything together. We had a great start by Hamilton but failed in relief and timely hitting. Getting thrown out at second in the eighth really hurt. Close call but why risk it when you're down.

It's hard to win both of a double header. 1-5 is a deep hole to get out of in conference.
