Not sure when he signaled dead ball if he ever did. Oz said he saw it, but I think he meant he heard it. The ump never raised his hands before the swing of the bat. That's what HCLB was upset about.
The umpire clearly never signaled time or a foul and the ball was definitely fair. What a truly unprofessional (at best) umpiring job.

Convincing video. It says it all. Ump never flinched to call time. We got screwed but we always do. I hope we protest this game and if nothing else do what's possible to end this ump's college career.
It's pretty much win the tournament (if we make it) or go home. I'm still in a state of shock at how bad this team has become.
Considering the odds of a double header, we probably at best finish this series 1-2 or 0-3.
We are still in decent position to get an NCAA at-large bid because our RPI is still strong, but we can't afford to lose our first 3 C-USA series. Today's DH is a must-sweep. Rice can smell blood.

Just because a batter calls timeout doesn't mean it's an automatic timeout. The ump has to grant the timeout. Obviously, watching this video, the ump NEVER accepted the timeout.
The ump said he "called" timeout. Others have said they heard him. Obviously he didn't signal it. I can't find a rule saying he MUST signal, but everything in umpiring I read says it can be a disaster not to signal timeout or dead ball.
I didn't see anything on video supporting the position that time was even asked for.
Isabella published that he heard time called on the video replay, but I've watched and listened to the replay at least 10 times. There was no time called on the video replay. Neither signaled, nor spoken.
Losers find ways to lose. Hopefully we've found about all of them and can turn this around starting today.
I feel pretty strongly that Tech is in a must win situation. We're about one loss away from the rest of the season not even mattering. Enough with all the 'baseball reasons/excuses' why we're not winning, just get it done! It's time to quit all the underachieving.
The call or noncall worries me less than the double plays and the inconsistency of our pitching.
We have left way too many runners stranded with just 1 or no out. Last year we seemed to have a lot more patience with out bat. This year seems to be big hit or bust
