Our Best Pitcher FINALLY Gets to Start!!!

We are averaging more runs per game than we did at this point last year.

On Friday night we hit into two double plays when the runner on first was moving before the pitch arrived. On those two plays the SS was moving to cover the bag and ran into positions to field a hit up the middle that otherwise would have been a base hit. Bad luck, but it is part of the game.

You'd be wrong. Starting pitching is the difference. Failure to sacrifice? We don't fail there often and do it more than we did it last year.

Double plays are part of the game. Not a hitting failure.

Of course pitching is the name of the game. I don't mean sacrifice bunt I am talking about getting a run in from 3rd with less than 2 outs. Double plays are part of it but we seem to be hitting more than our share this year. Our bats have not come through at key times for us during this stretch and that has not helped. Hope we can get it turned around starting tonight! Losing sucks.

I just listened to Burroughs interview yesterday and he said the same thing, we are not getting runners home- after talking for 5 minutes about our pitching. Looks like Linck, Harris, and Sutton are the new weekend rotation with Hasler or Miller the new closer. He didn't say Linck was back in the weekend rotation but I assume Follis gets the McNeese start.
