I can guarantee he would rather run a negative story than a positive one, and his Twitter is even worse. I don't follow him anymore.

Sean posted the entire context of Diaz's quote, and Diaz said several times that he was being honest and that the team's belief level was low at the moment. I thought his quote was honest and real. I didn't see a problem with either his quote or Sean's reporting of it.

I'm assuming Diaz posted his response before Isabella was challenged to provide the full quote, or otherwise Diaz didn't see it since he only posted it as a reply to someone rather than a regular tweet.

You're right. I hate Tech. Booooo!!! Take off your red-and-blue glasses and see things without a filter. I posted the entire context of Sean's question and Brent's answer. I respect Brent's answer. A lot. But he can't say it was out of context. His first response is: "Right now, it's pretty low. It's pretty low, and that's being honest." He later doubles down and comes back to say: "So our belief is low."

Things aren't always going to go your way in sports. And it sucks. And it's going to wear on you. College baseball is a long season. It has ups and downs, and you have to keep battling through. We are struggling. We are last in conference. That's going to affect you in some ways. It's OK for our players to admit it bothers them and they are trying to find a way to fix it. Kudos to Brent for speaking honestly and truthfully. I just wish he wouldn't have backtracked on his comments.

I think Diaz's problem was that Isabella tweeted out "the belief level is low" and that's it. Diaz wanted to emphasize that he also said he is still committed to the team.

Diaz probably also felt the need to get defensive since Isabella was tweeting out "hey look, this Tech player says his team doesn't believe."
