Welp.
Burroughs lost the game bringing Miller in when he did. He should've gone to Nate Harris instead of Miller when Griffen got into the jam in the 6th.
In the pregame show Burroughs said Harris would be available to throw 1 inning because today is his bullpen day.
Instead of using our best pitcher to get out of the jam, we don't use him at all and blow the lead to lose to McNeese.
Our coaching staff mismanaged our bullpen tonight much like the second Arkansas game.
4-9 in the last 13 games.
As this season has progressed it's become apparent that we simply have no quality pitching depth and our offense is not making up the difference. We explode offensively every 3rd or 4th game & with our current pitching woes that's just too infrequent. Gotta win 2/3 this weekend to start climbing otherwise the hole is getting too deep. Burroughs sounds like a good coach but the blame for an epic fail of a season is squarely on him. Next year the cupboard is bare. Hope Lane can recruit & quick.
A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:
With the wind howling at Joe Miller Ballpark, Louisiana Tech couldn’t hang on to an early lead as McNeese rallied to defeat the Bulldogs 5-3 on Wednesday night in Lake Charles.

Don't worry about it. Fans of certain other schools assert mid week games don't really matter.
Good old Memorial Gym
I did not have a problem bringing Miller in at that time, lord knows we need another guy that can step up in that role. Miller may have stayed in a little long.
We cannot have Harris starting on the weekend and pitching one inning mid week to get a mid week win. I'm not saying mid week doesn't matter, but not at the expense of our best pitcher. We need to win on the weekends and get into the conf. tourney and get on a hot streak at the right time. That is our shot at the post season...not winning mid week games.
If we don't take at least 2 of 3 this weekend, it's pretty much over.
