Home win (doesn't count as a full win for RPI winning percentage) over RPI #249 is all you need to know. A road win counting more than a full win would have hurt much less.

No, it was 39 as of Friday Morning, the RPI on Saturday would have been impacted by the win over WKU. I believe Paw Dawg is spot on. Our RPI was 38 yesterday (Saturday), and is back to 38 today. ODU 31, USM 22, Charlotte 46 as of Sunday morning.

We're at #42 RPI, which is down 1 spot from April 23rd. We are also predicted to be a regional #3 seed.

We were in the high 30s last week so even though we've only fallen one spot from 7 days ago we fell 5 spots after three weekend wins at home.

At this point we are still ahead of where we were this time last year. Winning next weekend on the road would give us a bump as would winning the last weekend on the road.

Yeah, we just have to keep our head down and keep scratching out wins. No RPI boosters the rest of the way (especially now with ULL getting swept by UTA) means we have our work cut out for us. I think the only surefire way we get in is if we get to the 40 win mark on the season which with only 10 games left in the season and at most 4 conference tourney wins means we'd need to win 10 of 12-14/15.

I think we can do it, but it's going to take a lot of focus on our player's parts and no let downs or RPI/projected field of 64 watching.

P.S. They can leave that to me...

    Go Dawgs!

Make that #41 RPI once the USM 8-run 9th inning to win at Middle Tennessee was factored in. C-USA has 4 Top 50 RPI teams and 7 in the top 80.

With a touch of confident consistent pitching and barring any bad luck Tech could be a very competitive and entertaining team to watch in the post season. Go Dawgs!!

Winning on the road will be some RPI help. Winning at LaLaff will also help even if they aren't top 50 at the time. Top 50 wins and Top 100 wins are what got us in last year along with sweeping Rice at the perfect time.

Agreed, I was just saying that the subjectiveness of the selection process will probably favor a team that has 40 wins to be in the tournament, even with a 3 to bubble-type RPI.

I agree. Hope #10 gets back soon and our pitchers are managed properly from here out.

Our out of conference RPI is 9.

That has to be considered by the committee, particularly since our conference is 5 or 6 depending upon the week
