I don't know what you're talking about, but the incident I'm referring to happened 12 years ago. It was after I graduated. I was wrong, though. It wasn't attempted murder. It was murder.
As for the LSU stuff, I've read countless stories about LSU crime (see this from earlier today or this or this or this). It's not ignored.

Former player -
Not current player or players...
When a former student/athlete leaves our campus, we are not responsible for their actions even though we are indirectly linked
This is not the TYPICAL run in with crime down in Lafayette - by all indication it's stupidity is actually bordering on being comical - what's the old saying "you can teach the dumb but you can't fix STUPID..."
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
That's why I say WHISTLE AS YOU PASS THE GRAVEYARD - when they are SINGLE, stand-alone events by current student-athletes at other schools - i.e. DIU, DWI, traffic violations, theft, battery, credit-card theft, criminal mischief etal....
The USL thing appears to be something TOTALLY different - bunch of dumbasses trying to get back at a former teammate
One thing is perfectly clear, they have a very DISFUNCTIONAL locker room and team chemistry must be in the toilet
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
The ABC affiliate in Lafayette had a crew outside the jail as players were bonding out:

theprofessor striked again - it is always Tech's fault.
