High probability of storms Saturday afternoon and Sunday. Wonder if we'll move to a double header Friday and an early start on Saturday against WKU?

The forecast I looked at said thunderstorms Saturday afternoon 100% and Sunday showers 80%. Weather forecasts are a dime a dozen and it's only Wednesday. Yeah, it would be a pain to do a Friday double header. I just know we need to get all three of the WKU games in.
We need the wins for C-USA standing/seeding for sure. I defer to one of the RPI experts on how much not playing all three games would hurt us. Would going 3-0 help more than 2-0? I doubt it, but we saw last weekend that the unthinkable can happen...going 1-1 vs a +100 team at home would seem to hurt us much more than going 2-1.
Forget the RPI. If Tech doesn't finish in at least 5th place in CUSA, there will be no at-large bid.
Common sense. There are too many SEC and Big12 teams in the same RPI area code with Tech. CUSA is the 6th ranked conference but the SEC and Big12 are 1 and 2. Those conferences are going to get a LARGE number of their teams in.
Just can't see the selection committee picking a 6th or 7th place team from the 6th place conference over ANY of the SEC and Big12 bubble teams.
Tenn 48, Texas AM 46, Miss 44, Okla 38, Texas 36, Okla State 43. ALL of these will get in before Tech does, with a 6th or 7th place finish in CUSA.
Connecticut 42 is currently the fourth best RPI in the 5th best conference. They get in over Tech, with a 6 or 7 CUSA finish.
The PAC12, the 3rd ranked conference, has only three guarantees: Oregon St 1, Arizona 7, Stanford 19.
Utah is on the bubble at 34.
UCLA 49, Washington 51 and Oregon 54 are next.
Do you think the 3rd conference will only get four in? Nope. 2 or 3 of UCLA, UW and Oregon will get in over Tech at 6 or 7 in CUSA.
Unlike MBB the baseball selction committee critia is consistent. RPI and quality wins are what gets the at large spots.
How teams finish the regular season has no bearing and never has.
Is it possible for WKU to travel in to play on Thursday? I know travel arrangements are set up months in advance and hotels might not have the rooms available.
I'd play Thursday night, then DH on Friday if I was just going off the current forecasts of rain on Saturday & Sunday.
So, there are rules and criteria written down that the select committee MUST follow? If so, then why is there a selection committee, at all? Just use the auto-bids and then the RPI. Job done.
If humans are on the selection committee, then everything has bearing. You just never know.
