Game ball goes to Zach. He came in and gave us 5 good innings and a chance to slowly get back in the game. That game could have been a bullpen burner.

Good point. I thought he might get this start, but he definitely came in and held them til we could get back in it.
Any word on game time tomorrow? Possible doubleheader?
Nope, but our HC is determined to use him even if it means losing a game.
He did not and has not. His bad decisions on pitching almost cost us another game tonight.
What we are seeing out of our HC is not baseball. He is making horrible decisions on who to pitch and when. That's not baseball, it is poor coaching.
Bunting the cleanup hitter with two men on and no outs...good grief man! That's HORRIBLE!
What's more appropriately horrible was Boggs' play at the plate, a bad night batting where he should've been pinch hit for after the bunt flub.
I almost gave up listening to the game with that failed bunt. Glad I stuck around for the comeback.
I have a feeling our coach aims for 2-1 series instead risking for the sweep. Last Friday pitching selection lost the game to UAB. Tonight he started with a pitcher who should be good for about an inning and half max.
Glad our freshman got us the win tonight - he has that X factor.
A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:
LA Tech (28-14, 9-10 C-USA) used a pair of three-run frames to come from behind and defeated WKU (13-30, 4-15 C-USA), 6-5, on Friday night at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.

Yeah wasn't sure if anything got updated or if anybody had the inside scoop.
Sure doesn't feel like a win.
Only 5 baseball games remaining in Ruston this season and two of those will be played today.
I hope Nate can go deep into the game today. We're gonna need the pen if there is a game 3.
Agreed. Also hope weather doesn't cost him some innings.
Just looking outside, the weather looks ominous. I can't see us getting in two games today.
Question: do conference games have to be made up, no matter what?
To answer my own question, as I just had a flashback, most leagues have a rule that all games must be played. That's to be fair to all teams. But, the conference has the option to wait to see if the games will make any difference. For instance, in this case., what if we get one game in today, but not two. WKU leaves town and everyone goes on to play out the season per the current schedule. But, what if Tech is on the bubble for that 8th spot, or someone else. Maybe we're a half-game ahead of a team that holds a tie-breaker with us. They have every right to insist our missing 3rd game vs. WKU be made up. If we were to lose that game, the other team, not us, would get the nod. Or!!!! it could be us that would benefit from that 3rd game vs. WKU.
Point is, CUSA will wait to see if any missed conference games could change the final standings, or not.
