I didn't think Higgins would be drafted, but I felt he stood a good chance at a UDFA contract. At a minimum I thought he would be invited to a rookie mini-camp. It doesn't speak too highly for C-USA if the recipient of its most valuable player award doesn't even get a shot at making a NFL roster.

Heck, in the last 20 years there have been several Heisman Trophy winners go on to the NFL and do not much of anything. It's a different game. Not an indictment against CUSA.

Hey I watch a lot of CFL (Ottawa RedBlacks FTW!) and wonder if any of our Dawgs will head north of the 49th?

Lloyd Grogan has the perfect body type and skill set for a CFL linebacker

Good, maybe he can play for Winnipeg or Ottawa, 'cause I'm planning on driving up to Winnipeg to see their game versus Ottawa this season, since I'm within driving distance of there now. Ray Holley was with Hamilton recently, but now I don't know where he is, or if he's even active anymore.
