Hey, at least Taylor Burch got to play as the FG holder and eventually scored a TD in the rout over Rice a few years back. And of course Bennett lead us to the win over Miss. State. Can't say if I remember if any of the others played more than one or two downs.

Wilson was never going to see the field with his serious weight issue. Abraham must not believe he can beat out the Blinn JC transfer Westin Elliott for #2 QB. Elliott has got to be loving his decision to come to Tech with two of his Blinn OL Drew Kirkpatrick and Hanner Shipley.

    Oh well, next man up!

I doubt Four games of JUCO...4 touchdown passes and 5 interceptions scared Abraham. I bet he told Holtz before he went public and the JUCO was brought in after Holtz knew he was transferring.

Well that is even less reason for Abraham to transfer. You can't get any closer to starting QB than #2. Next man up!

Part of having a young starting QB. Nobody wants to be a backup for three years.

Moved back? He has never been a QB for us.

He was originally listed as a QB before moving just before the spring game to WR. If depth required he could switch back, but with the JUCO guy and Walker, would it be necessary? Even if Walker redshirts we should be fine with two. If it got to the point we need to use our 3rd stringer Belton could slip in, but hopefully it wouldn't get that desperate.

I recall reading that Belton experienced some shoulder pain throwing the football and that was part of his decision to move to WR.
We should still be fine at QB (every sentence has an understood "-barring injury" disclaimer).

He was never going to be a QB...not even when he signed. No he can't play QB at this level. He has not played QB since he was 15 in live action.

He is a great athlete and a great young man, but so was Mims and COYHCSH never played him either.

    Re: Jack Abraham transferring

I was obviously kidding about racism. We all know that can't happen vs white people.

Surprised Abraham wouldn't give it at least one more year. Injuries happen, not to mention J'mar is still unproven. If he sucks and gets yanked for the backup 3-4 games into the season, Abraham will be kicking himself. I think all the talk of J'Mar being a 3 year starter is a little premature. Jury is still out IMO...

Jebediah Kraft played in Spring game - is he not on roster? 😁
