JMHO? There is nothing humble about your opinions.
That slacker went on to get his masters in sports administration and became a very successful soccer coach. He's been a college coach. He's worked in the academy system for New York Red Bulls. Now he works for a private academy in New York.
We all move at our own pace in life, and there's nothing wrong with that. It took me nearly five years to graduate. I loved every minute of it. Sometimes, I wish I'd stuck around longer.

Technically, my opinion of NSU carries a bit more weight than yours does since I am a student there. However, I'm not telling NSU it can't give one of the best student-athletes in school history another year of eligibility and that it's doing that student-athlete a disservice.

If he is good enough to play, wants to play and the NCAA allows it I don't see the problem. 7th year seems crazy to me but I doubt NSU has any special pull to get the kid a waiver. I'm sure this is a pretty extraordinary circumstance.
If he had any real chance of being drafted he wouldn't be playing a 7th year at Northwestern State, lol.
He could be playing in Europe though so there is some lost opportunity cost. But he if wants to play for Northwestern State another year and the NCAA allows him, I say go for it!
