It was fair by about 3 inches, didn't even catch the white line....
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Because of the angle y'all were at, we all saw it hit clearly fair -
Just like the put outs at first
On the first one, thought the throw beat Ullrich by a quarter step
On the second one, runner was safe by a half step cause ump was focusing on the ball instead of the bag and foot
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Finally got the Haynesville baseball coach over there today with his family -
First time he had been in the stadium in a while, he was impressed
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
My motifs oprendi is to never say an ump made a bad call in favor of Tech. They make too many bad calls against Tech to forgive even one. The ball was fair, period!
There always seems to be too many Tech strikes called balls which purposely gives the opposing batters one more swing to make something happen while it also deflates our pitching confidence. It's not too difficult to hit the ball hard when the ump is funneling our pitchers to throw increasingly to the middle of the plate.
Fair, foul, who cares now? We swept our last conference series at home just like we did last year. Now let's take 2 of 3 from Middle finger and leave no doubt.
