If he received financial aid from both sports, he probably contributes to both.

    http://www.ncaa.org/aboutresources/r...rate-explained
The APR is calculated as follows:
    • Each student-athlete receiving athletically related financial aid earns one point for staying in school and one point for being academically eligible.
    • A team’s total points are divided by points possible and then multiplied by 1,000 to equal the team’s Academic Progress Rate.
    • In addition to a team’s current-year APR, its rolling four-year APR is also used to determine accountability.
In 2015-16 and beyond, teams must earn a four-year APR of 930 to compete in championships.

8 or 9 of Grambling's sports were at 930 or below.

Tech's APR is second to last in CUSA and this fact should be unacceptable to all of us. This is no way to build any program. If the fact that our scores rival Grambling's more than they do our CUSA peers doesn't embarrass you, it should. Maybe some of our coaches need a boot up their asses. I'd start with Holtz. He needs to get off his ass and start demanding more from his players when it comes to academics, period.

The good news is all sports exceed the minimum.

The bad news is the above statement had to be made.

Our highest score is 983, what is the maximum possible?

I expect better at my alma mater.

He has gotten off his ass. He has been recovering from Dykes' mess for 4 years.

1000 is perfect according to this article:
    http://www.latechsports.com/genrel/051017aaa.html

Women’s Cross Country, Bowling, Soccer and Tennis all recorded a perfect single year rate, the most since the 2012-13 academic year. The Lady Techster soccer and tennis programs also recorded their highest ever multi-year rates at 981 and 983, respectively.

The numbers listed in the top post are the multi year average which determines sanctions.

Seems to have turned Cal around, before his firing:

Similarly, football registered it's best ever four year APR with a score of 978, up 33 points over the past four years. The team's one* year APR was 991, which followed a 997 from the previous year's results. The 991 score was also second highest among all football programs in the Pac12 for 2015-16.

He had a different set of standards at Cal. Jucos and others coming and leaving w/out graduation was not allowed.

WBB at 932. This is another area where I expect Brooke to improve things.

We know she inherited a mess....both on the court and off the court...and it will take some time to bring WBB back up to the standards we expect. But, I am confident she will get it done.

I did a quick survey of that link which shows all schools across the nation, and took a look at some state schools. Hmmm.... without tabulating anything, like an average, but just looking, it appears we lag behind some other ULS schools in overall performance.

    Okay...I did do some calcs:

    NSU 974.6
    Tech 963.1

McNeese looks even higher still. Yep...
    976.4

We have some work to do in this department.
