And equal protection isn't the only constitutional problem with the Muslim ban - there is the whole first amendment issue.
But this was an entirely self-inflicted wound because Trump cannot control his impulses and had to advertise it as a "Muslim ban."

What is untrue?
His campaign trail slips were and are being used against him after his election. Every judge ruled on "his intent" based on what he said before he was elected. Nobody was upset when Obama imposed the ban on all the same countries. Another double standard by America haters who have forgotten 9/11.
Yeah, well, "intent" is relevant when it comes to whether laws are discriminatory and violate the constitution.

What about the Obamacare Supreme court decision? They decided that the penalty was a tax, making it constitutional for the government to compel you to purchase something you do not want, even though the ones that passed the legislation on a totally partisan basis insisted the penalty was NOT A TAX. That is how it was sold to the American public.
But, in your shallow echo chamber Obama and dems = good and Trump and repubs = bad, so you'll argue anything that doesn't conform to that narrow view. I am sure you will quote some study or another generated by a liberal think tank and make a couple of "Hitler" references to bolster your argument, but that doesn't make it so.

False. Our government does not regulate our laws in other countries. We have citizens in prison in Iran and North Korea under false claims and no judicial process, but, we're not in those countries imposing our laws on them and telling them to release our citizens.

Obamacare was not challenged on the basis that it was discriminatory.
It - the individual mandate - was challenged on the basis that Congress did not have power to make people purchase products or services under the commerce power. Supreme Court held that it had the power under its power to tax instead of finding that it had power to pass the individual mandate under the commerce power.
