The Sun provides all the energy we need.

Natural forces can work their will but the results occur over hundreds if not thousands of years. You seem to think that the drastic climate change we are currently experiencing is due to natural processes. That's not the case. What we are experiencing is human activities which have simply over-powered the natural climate equilibrium. The amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere by natural processes is a very, very small percentage of the amount of CO2 that human activities release into the atmosphere.

Here's hoping that you have a blessed day also.

So, you are saying all the "drastic" climate changes of the past - the droughts, great flood, those were caused by man's activities?????

I just got finished reading this myself (and the supporting research report) and thought this looked like "real science" to me. A bunch of folks getting funding to prove something that gives power to central governments is not, in my opinion "real science".

The research report is in the link below, and except for the guy that got a degree from USL@L, everyone that signed off on the report seem to be legit. The other opinions on the subject seem to be group think. And remember, it is group think right now to believe that Caitlyn Jenner is a beautiful and brave woman (which is most certainly not true).

    DNW, for your information:

    https://www.theguardian.com/environm...global-warming

The paper itself has little scientific content. Using charts taken from climate denier blogs, the authors claim that every temperature record adjustment since the 1980s has been in the warming direction, which is simply false. As Zeke Hausfather pointed out, referencing work by Nick Stokes, roughly half of the adjustments have resulted in cooling and half in warming.

    FYI:

    https://skepticalscience.com/surface...s-advanced.htm

Independent studies using different software, different methods, and different data sets yield very similar results. The increase in temperatures since 1975 is a consistent feature of all reconstructions. This increase cannot be explained as an artifact of the adjustment process, the decrease in station numbers, or other non-climatological factors. Natural temperature measurements also confirm the general accuracy of the instrumental temperature record.

All those weather events you mentioned are not about climate change. How and when was the Black Sea formed?

Looks like the South is going to get hit hard by climate change.

Now there's some real respected qualifications and statements backed by facts for a "scientific" article.

“We are really sure the South is going to get hammered,” says Solomon Hsiang, one of the authors of the paper and a professor of public policy at the University of California, Berkeley.
“The South is really, really negatively affected by climate change, much more so than the North. That wasn’t something we were expecting going in.”

    ^^^
Yet beyond its initial findings, the paper represents a major breakthrough for the field of climate economics. Previously, the best financial forecasts of climate change approximated damages for the entire country at once. This new study worked from the bottom up, building its model from dozens of microeconomic studies into how climate change is already affecting regional economies across the United States. Every algorithm in the model emerges from a previously observed relationship in real-world data.
