If he can come back 100%, he will earn a starting role again. I believe when healthy he is starting caliber

I hope you're right but there is an insane amount of competition for those spots. If I'm the Ravens I'm not betting on Dixon getting healthy, I'm signing more RBs (like Woodhead and West).

Agreed. Hopefully, if the Ravens are indeed done with him as the signs seem to indicate, he can latch on somewhere else.

Three knee injuries in the past 12 months? Even under the best circumstances, it's very difficult for a RB --or any player really-- to come back from this. And frankly, it's as much mental as it is physical. Learning to "trust" the knee again is a very big hurdle...especially for a RB.

    I wish KD the best.

Vernon Butler just got blindsided on a bubble screen and was pounding the ground out of frustration. They are looking at his left leg. Hope he's ok.

Game is Texans/panthers on NFL network

That's why I always say "there's no rush to get to the NFL", if you really love playing football. Because all you are doing is cutting your playing years (including college) short.

The average NFL career across all positions is only 2.66 years. So WHAT'S THE RUSH? Unless you are playing for a coach you hate in college, you might as well stay in school and enter the NFL draft at a more mature age of 21 or 22 --after a full college career-- instead of trying to come out early after a stellar sophomore or junior year. Because the law of averages say you are only going to play for a short period anyway.

The answer they would give you is they want that $$$ and if they get injured badly in college they don't get that. I'd prefer everyone stay 4 years but I get it if you're a projected 1st rounder.

If you're a Jr with a solid third round projection, you should signup for the draft. You'll get a nice paycheck which should easily sooth the loss of a fourth college year. A bird in hand is better than two in the bush.

The big questions this year are Ferguson and Dugas.

The amazing part of this conversation is that Tech players are having to face this type of scenario. This is very rare at the G5 level.

Re: Why Kenneth Dixon is the Ravens’ next great running back

I am very happy we are sending so many men to the NFL. It is really unheard of for a school like us. The program is really growing and we keep recruiting even better players.

The one thing we need is a better buffer between student athletes and outside forces. Now, so many of our underclassmen are looking at the money and might not be making the best career decision.

I really believe outside pressure has gotten to a few of our guys.

If we have a player that is a junior and projects 3rd round or better, you almost have to take that deal.

Maybe Tech can start a class for athletes about money management, contracts, business law, etc.
