This is an interesting commitment. You could argue SLU is the No. 2 baseball program in Louisiana right now, so what caused him to leave Hammond to come to Ruston? Dads recruiting their sons is always an interesting dynamic. Some look forward to being on the same team their whole lives, while others prefer not to have it happen.

We played against Artigues this year. He is a solid baseball player. He is a high IQ dirt bagger.

I see that now. Makes more sense. Probably does want to get away from home and get the best quality of education while playing for an up-and-coming baseball program. Smart kid.
