    Bulldog Blitz 2017

Hadn't seen this posted or discussed lately. The Bulldog Blitz is making it way through Texas this week starting with Houston on 6/19/17. I bought my tickets today. Per the website:

The Louisiana Tech Athletic Club (LTAC) and the Louisiana Tech Alumni Association are bringing back the “Bulldog Blitz” tour during the summer of 2017. After the success of last year’s inaugural tour, the locations for this summer include Houston, Dallas, and downtown Ruston. Special guests on the tour include head coaches Skip Holtz, Brooke Stoehr, and Eric Konkol and Athletics Director Tommy McClelland.

All Louisiana Tech alumni and fans are encouraged to spend an evening with Louisiana Tech Athletics staff members on June 19 in Houston (Karbach Brewing Co.), June 20 in Dallas (Flying Saucer), and July 29 in Ruston (Railroad Park). Each event will run from 6-8 PM and information on the locations can be found below.

Monday, June 19 (Houston) - Karbach Brewing Company
Tuesday, June 20 (Dallas) - Flying Saucer
Saturday, July 29 (Ruston) - Railroad Park

Tickets for the Dallas and Houston events are $25 per person and will include dinner and a cash bar. Click the Register button below to make your reservation for Houston or Dallas. For any questions regarding the Bulldog Blitz, contact Tyson Baldwin at (318) 497-7265 or tyson@latechalumni.org.

Unfortunately, I will be in Chicago this week on business and unable to attend the Dallas event. My consolation prize is that I will be at Wrigley Field watching the Cubs host the Padres instead.

Maybe the feed back they received from the TJ Ribs idea last year was confusing to them?

I haven't been there since the changes were made. How many games are you planning to attend?

What a lucky Dawg you are! How cool would it be to get to see Tech's own Phil Maton come in for relief for the Padres! Believe I'd have to pull for Phil.

They came to Baton Rouge last year. The attendance wasn't great, but it was also at a LSU restaurant.

Good event last night in Houston. They picked a great venue, and the current athletic staff displays great synergy and it seems this is driven by Skip Holtz.

Of note was that attendance was down around 50% from last year for Houston and Dallas both.

This is a busy time of year for families, and for the Houston crowd Monday night maybe wasn't an ideal time to drive rush hour traffic across town.

Interesting that attendance was down. Last year was only one week later (the last week of June).

Do the fans know we have won three straight bowl games for the first time in Tech history?

The Dallas event is tonight; hopefully its attendance is not down 50%, but may be if your information is based on advance tickets sold.

How did they notify potential attendees? THE BBB, twitter, Facebook, Instagram? Did they use email or USPS?
