Being favored at home by double digets and getting whipped like a rented mule it being owned.
Then last year we were favored on the road against a team with MUCH less talent and our COYHCSH allowed a defensive coach to whip him, out smart him, and out coach him.
Should I say they own COYHCSH instead?

You guys do realize that 2-2 C-USA record includes our time as worst team in America, right? It's 33-15 all time. Click the link to see you guys have a proud football program and should enjoy being Tech fans. But don't claim 2 wins versus a team in it's worst period ever sets a trend. Haha, we're not claiming that we're better than y'all for all of our football history; few diehards would go that far. But, again, we are tied in our C-USA record. A win is a win and a loss is a loss. Our 2013 was also a pretty bad team for us
You guys have a great history. There's a reason I put the LaTech logo on the kid's shirt and came here to have some fun instead of any of the other C-USA schools' boards. Y'all are the most solid program outside of Hattiesburg and who we are (most of us anyway) rooting for to continue to get even better so we have a legit big-boy rivalry.Haha, we're not claiming that we're better than y'all for all of our football history;
I have strong respect for SoMiss, and I look forward to many more competitive contests in the "Rivalry in Dixie"
To make it a true rivalry we need to do something to upset your fan base. Us actually winning would be a great start. One thing y'all did last year that was simple, yet very effective...
It was obvious your crowd was going to be down. Most of us thought we'd be able to get great seats at the prices advertised on the USM site. NOPE! Your ticket peeps actually consider the home fans and would not allow us to purchase the cheap seats made available to your walk up fans. How? They did not open sales until game day and they did not sell those seats to fans who were not wearing USM colors. I was not upset at all. I admired the loyalty to USM fans held by your admin and your ticket peeps.
We could do something similar, but our AD would say, "That's not who we are." Instead we sell tickets on the 50 yard line to USM fans on game day. Our admin and fans are still hung up on how many fans the opposing team will bring and being giddy about playing SWAC schools and their "bands".
Sure, USM has dominated the all-time series, but I honestly don't think any of our fans are bothered by Mississippi Teacher's College's dominance from 1941-58 when the Buzzards built a commanding 13-1 series lead against Tech while our baby boomers were being born.
I also think it's fair and more relevant to judge by eras. I don't know why any reasonable person would disagree or call those records getting "owned."

Oh, and one of our C-USA wins vs. USM was by one of our worst teams of all-time, but a win is a win no matter how ugly the football was.
Owning a team is what Tech's done to USM in C-USA basketball. Tech is 7-1 vs. USM with 7 straight wins in the series.
...and 1500 of our rabid fans were in attendance to see the victories in Ruston.
Being owned is being favored at home by 14 and losing 58-24 to have a 9 game home winning streak snapped. Then the following year we are road favorites to a 5 win team, but get blown out again 39-24 to have a 7 game win streak broken. OWNED!
That's called getting "upset."
15 pts / 2 TDS does not a blowout make. Blowouts begin at 20 pts or 3 TDs.
