That's gaycist.
And jokes about communism aren't funny unless everybody get them.
I would just like to point out that for several of Southern Miss's wins over Tech, USM was in a higher football division than Tech, so wouldn't it be expected for us to lose? I mean imagine if we played NSU every single year. We'd win most of the time, yes? Now, maybe times were different back then, but wouldn't a DI school be expected to beat a DII? IA over IAA?
That said, I'm definitely not ok with the series record as it is, but the "modern era" of the RiD is 2-4 USM's way. 2-2 in C-USA. Not good, but could be worse I suppose. Hopefully moving the game to the middle of the season will make for a much better atmosphere than 2015, and hopefully we'll get it done this time.
I will say I think the timeline of Nick Mullens' injury was the perfect storm for us to lose. Because he was out, USM lost games they shouldn't have, we clinched the division, and we thought we could own USM. But then leading up to our game, we weren't sure who the QB was going to be, so we had to prepare for both Howard and Mullens, who have very different styles. Then USM beautifully flip-flopped between the two on their opening drive and got us on our heels early. Then Mullens took over and did Mullens things. I honestly wonder, if Mullens hadn't gotten injured, maybe we could have won, as strange as that sounds. We wouldn't have gone in overconfident and wouldn't have had to prepare for a second QB who barely played in the game.
Oh well. 123 days.
According to this guy, ODU, Marshall AND Southern Miss are our daddies.

How would you guys rank the programs? If too much to reply with, what number would you place Tech?
I prefer thinking in tiers rather than a strict rank order, so here goes:
Tier One: La Tech, MTSU, WKU, USM, Marshall
Tier Two: Old Dominon, UAB, North Texas, UTSA, Charlotte, Rice, UTEP (I tried to split these into two tiers but couldn't decide how to split them)
Tier Three: FIU, FAU
That said, I think FIU and FAU both should see better years in football to some extent, although I'd definitely rank FAU higher in terms of facilities. I think UTSA is on the rise, but they need to improve facilities. The Alamodome is getting upgrades, but basketball... yikes. Hopefully UAB can get that new stadium approved somehow. UNT has facilities and I think their new AD is taking them in the right direction, we just need to see the results on the field/court. Old Dominion's stadium is a joke.
I will say that I understand the guy's comments on fan support, etc, but I feel he way under-emphasized actually winning on the field. Tech, WKU, and MTSU all rated criminally low.
The baseball series in Ruston this year didn't make it any better. That Dogs were on a hot streak.... until Southern Miss came to town. And that 2015 football game in Ruston was pitiful.
You guys are pathetic. You need a motivational speech:
