Yeah, maybe he should have gotten ready for pro day during the season instead of after it.
Have you considered those Dogs?
Exactly, so he was not a full schedule season starter, as in he would have played at least 24 games in a 2-year span, 36 games in a 3 year span, or 48 games in a 4-year span. He started many games, but never every game in multiple seasons as ITDrummer requested.
The question was about having a "multiyear starter" at QB. IMO, 28 games is a lot for any QB to start. We probably haven't had but about 5 QB's start 28 games in their career in the last 40 years. The comment was made that it was going to be nice to have J'Mar around for the next 3 years so we could have stability at the QB position.
Here's the quote:
It's going to be so nice to have staibilty at the QB position for once in a LOOOONG time. 3 years with this guy behind center could be great for us. When was the last time Tech had a multi-year starter at QB? (I mean, full season starter)
Since he started 28 games from 2008 to 20010, it hasn't been that long. CLEARLY Ross Jenkins was overlooked. I think THAT was my point.

You could make that argument about Ryan Higgins then. He started most of the 2013 season, and most of last season. However, to qualify for "full season starter" you have to start at least each of the 12 regular season game. Higgins did not, nor did Jenkins in multiple years.
If you disagree, then we'll just have to "agree to disagree"

Y'all are KILLING me!
So a true freshman comes in and wins the starting job and becomes a four-year starter at the position, but he misses one game each year due to nagging injuries. He leads us to three conference championships and four bowl games, starting every one of those games. Over the course of his four-year career at Tech, he starts 51 of the 55 games. By the definition set forth in this thread, this QB is not a multi-year starter and, technically, didn't even start for a single season during his career. He finishes his career with a 44-7 career record (we lose all four games he doesn't start) and sets school records for career yards and touchdowns. And y'all would still be on here arguing semantics that he's not a multi-year starter!
the bold, the beautiful, theprofessor
I am pretty certain theprofessor is right. I belive Max started at Tulsa and Luke took over to start the second half and never let go.
That's not the point I'm making. ITDrummer said "a multi-year starter at QB? (I mean, full season starter) ". A full season is all 12 of the regular season games in the current format. In your scenario, the QB may have been a multi-year starting quarter back, but if he missed 1 game in the regular season of each year, then he was not a multi-year, full season, starting QB No need for y'all to jump in, I'm just stating a fact
And under the "theprofessor's" & HD's definitions, Ryan Higgins was a multi-season starter (on which opinion I agree)
