I really like the idea of the Fabulous Equinox Quintet, but it seems The Happening's had a bit of an identity crisis in recent years. It was a nice, sit-down dinner with a speaker (and usually a talk by the prez and a coach or two), then it went to more of a heavy hors d'oeuvres format. I think that was around the time they started having coaches basically instead of of a formal speaker. Then they started the semi-tailgate theme, asking people to wear tailgate-type clothing, which never really went over. Last year they had several corporate partners speak, and it was incredibly boring (to me...I know, it's a matter of taste). Now, it's the Equinox music, but with loyal blue casual attire, and Catfish Charlie's.
Only speakers we need are Guice and Skip. And give Skip all the time he needs.

I bet that quintet is good. Wasn't Jeremy part of Howard and the Shafts back in the day?

Heck, I'd pay $30 for just the fish and music, the LaTech speakers are lagniappe! This is a quality event imo.
