Liberals can't handle the truth and don't believe in free speech.
They are the ones promoting violent fascism around the country and world and don't even know it. Well the young libs don't for sure and don't care.

And in the article it was a conservative teacher that created a summer reading list of conservative ideology books.

I know you are just a title reader, but the school board didn't ban the books in the linked article.

No...you didn't read the article. It's the Libs that banned the list of conservative books and the total assignment period.

To no one’s surprise, there was a general freak out by the establishment statist educators.
Baldwin County Board of Education President Shannon Cauley told Gulf Coast News Today that she became aware of the issue through social media and alerted the superintendent.
“As a courtesy, the school principal called to let me know that the list had been removed and assignment canceled,” Cauley said in a Facebook post. “He’ll be sending an email to all senior students/parents to notify them that there will be no summer reading assignment for this AP government class.”
Superintendent Eddie Tyler confirmed that in a statement, saying the teacher had removed the reading list. It is no longer on the school website.

No book was banned. The students are just not required to read a book espousing conservative orthodoxy.

There is not a list anymore.

Every one of those books can still be read from a library (if stocked) or bought. The students still have access to them.

No, they WERE the list, the only books from which students could "choose." So now there is no list.

You have to love this passage from the article:

One of the basic educational elements missing from our nation’s schools is teaching students to think critically. Making students aware of different opinions and how they are argued is what’s needed today. Instead, “progressive” education is designed to teach a single position as the only position.

Yet, the teacher who assigned the list tried to force students to read books from his preferred ideology. Why not give them a 50/50 list and let them choose?

Again, if this were a story about a school board banning a liberal teacher from forcing students to read a book selected from a list for left wing literature promoting liberal ideaology, it would be celebrated on here.

    Re: Liberal Ban Conservative Books

Public Education has been usurped by socialists. Not surprisingly, it's in their manifesto of how to crush freedom and take over nations. Libtard indoctrination begins in the early years of school. "Joey Has Two Mommies" a book designed to encourage gay/lesbian lifestyles. Of course, our resident libtards here support that kind of book being forced on youngsters. It teaches "tolerance."

Of course, there are still places, schools, where libtardism is rejected as the evil that it is. Public schools that begin an assembly with the Lord's Prayer. The principal leading it and stating, "they can fire me if they want, but I'll not compromise my beliefs." Naturally, the local community rallied to his/her side. The local School Board takes no action because they know they would be swept out in the next election. (I won't disclose which school this is, as I support that principal).

A 50/50 list? How nice...except in too many communities the only 50/50 list of books is: half commie, half atheist. No other choices.
