They never said it was Trump. They also never said it was not Hillary or the Dems which is why it has died down.
It (the investigation) hasn't died down, though. The only thing that has slowed down is Trump talking about it (especially making patently false statements about Russia not doing anything or his campaign officials not being in contact with Russia). Like all of Trump's problems, the media focus on Russia has been a problem of his own making.
I believe Mueller is in his 4th month now on his Russia conspiracy. How long does it take him to investigate this? I'm betting he's getting at least $500/hr and he's dragging it out on purpose. If he hasn't found anything by now, the AG needs to cut him loose, we've already wasted too much taxpayer money on this bogus conspiracy.
