He only started his senior year. i'd say the reason he wasn't recruited by other schools is because of his height and skinny frame. Football coaches get in a rut of looking at recruits a certain way and just don't even look at what he's done. Sort of like some of the meetings I was in back in the day. If you throw out an original idea, everybody thinks you're crazy.
He doesn't seem to be afraid to throw it down the middle. I like it.
Go Tech!
Yeah, there have been many guys who play private school ball who worked their way though D1 ball and some ended up in the NFL. No doubt 5A and most 4A is on a different level. Some select 3A, 2A, and 1A teams are consistently on a different level. 3A Private school ball in Mississippi has turned out some great players. Many of those teams could compete well in LHSAA 4A.
I hope he and Elijah Walker enjoy competition a little more than our former back-ups. If they'll stick it out, we should be okay at the QB position for the next 5 years.

"Strange why he wasn't recruited by anyone."
Hope he turns out to be the QB version of Trent Taylor who was only offered by Louisiana Tech
From watching his film and also Griffin Herbert's.. he seems to have a natural touch on his throws, and he's said himself being 6'8 helps him read the defense. You don't go 48:5 TD to Int ratio on accident. This guy can throw the football. We lucked out he didn't go JUCO as he planned.
