That's actually big for us. I don't thing we've EVER gotten pre-season votes. Apparently our Football SID has done a great job of getting the word out to fellow SIDs in CUSA.

We received 4 votes this year. We also received 4 votes in the 2015 preseason coaches poll. Let's hope it ends better this time.

Edit: on second thought we might have had 5 in 2015. Not sure.

In 2012 we at least received votes in the Coaches Poll in all 16 weekly releases.

Our schedule sets up well for us to make a top 25 run. We have 2 bearable SEC teams on our schedule, one at home. Take care of business and yeah, I can see it.

I couldn't agree more with you on this. Our schedule should lead to a top 25 run, in all honesty, we should be in line for the G5 bowl berth. With some level of improvement on defense and not too large of an offensive drop I can see the access bowl berth or better. Of course, we have to win the conference championship game. Hopefully that game will be in Ruston this year!

We, in North Louisiana, didn't have good access to the Coaches Poll back then (was is tied to UPI?) since Gannett was all about AP.

It was the next to last week of the regular season when we finally became ranked in the AP. We fell out after the embarrassing loss to USC. We were never ranked in the Coaches poll in 1999. My question was when did we get pre-season votes in the 90s?
