NSU loading buses to Wreck Tech

It's that time again....time to Wreck Tech! Just like last time, the NSU Alumni Association will be providing buses, a tailgate, and an avenue to buy game tickets. With the help of SGA and SAB, two student buses will be making the round trip, along with one alumni bus. All bus seats are first come first serve, and will be cut off after filled. The tailgate will be in the same location as well...right next to the Lady Techsters Softball Complex, in Memorial Gym Parking Area in Zone 2.

Delicious Cajun food will be cooked by Demon Dad, Simon Guidry, and food will include pastalaya, jambalaya, and other cajun delicacies. Entertainment will be provided by the Paul and Pete Band from 3:30 to 5:30, and a pep rally leading us into the stadium at 5:30. Along with the band, we'll have other amenities such as lawn games, port-a-cool fans, and cold beverages.

All tickets will be in the general admission section. The bus will depart from the Collins Family Pavilion, and bus riders can leave cars in Prather parking lot. Registration ends Thursday, August 31st.

We have won 25 games, including 3 bowls, since that day. They have had three straight losing seasons since then. So? None of that matters come Sept 2nd. And, I call BS on the "don't care" malarkey. We could lose to Clemson, in a great game, nationally televised, and everyone saying, "what a great game!" And....I would care. But, NSU is certainly no Clemson. We better win.

We have won 25 games, including 3 bowls, since that day. They have had three straight losing seasons since then. So? None of that matters come Sept 2nd. And, I call BS on the "don't care" malarkey. We could lose to Clemson, in a great game, nationally televised, and everyone saying, "what a great game!" And....I would care. But, NSU is certainly no Clemson. We better win.

Don't you live there or something? Of course you care more, you have to listen to it all day. As for me, it was a fluke loss. Didn't really bother me 2 days after. Now, if I thought they were a better team, meltdown mode. Also, I like this game, should be played on a semi regular basis.

That humiliating loss has been mentioned by the Shreveport media most weeks for the last 3 years. It's NWST's only accomplishment in football over the last decade.

That game did more damage than most are willing to admit. Dawgpix has pix for every other home game for the rest of that season. Downplay it all you want, but we lost half our fan base for the remainder of the season after that embarrassment. I don't think we got 12K in Aillet Stadium after that.
