The real test will be when he is giving his introduction before the Super Bowl someday and he says, "number 6, Jeff Driskel, quarterback, Louisiana Tech University."

If Driskel wants to be a Dawg that's great. I'm not going to get all understanding about the "once a gator always a gator" tweet. I don't want a Menage-a-trois with Dawgs, Gators, and Driskel.
As someone with degrees from mutiple schools, I get it. My first is my home and my family, the other is just a place I got an advanced degree from. Not saying this is JD's deal, but c'mon. I don't expect full Tech loyalty out of him. A little appreciation, yeah, but not full-on Bulldog fandom like the rest of us here on the board.
I assume ESPN and other sports networks are going to mention him as the "former gator" and we'll be lucky to get them to finish it with others "who finished his college career at Louisiana Tech."
The gators have e a bigger fanbase so they'll appeal to them to get more ratings. It's about money.
A very good read on Jeff Driskel's time at Louisiana Tech by Sports Illustrated (2015).

I think it's a little deeper than that. Jeff Driskel was literally washed up before arriving at LA Tech. I still remember people on the CUSA board laughing at the fact that some of us LA Tech fans were excited about Driskel's transfer. Even they thought he was washed up.
With this in mind, there should be a very special place in Driskel's heart for LA Tech. It literally changed his life for the better. Just like it did for so many of us. The Univ of Florida didn't do that for him.
