Game changed when Almond went out and Tech wore us out by the 4th quarter.

ESPN3 is pitiful
Their QB going out was a game changer. JaMar had some incredible moments and some not so incredible moments. He threw into double coverage several times, and against better teams that will cost us. Some of his more routine throws were off the mark. I believe he will only get better with more experience.
I'm very concerned about the play of the front 5. The Demons was giving them all they could handle for 2 1/2 quarters. They better improve very quickly if we want to make a game against Moo State.

Somewhat close at 52-24. Didn't feel like a rout until the end.55-17. Tech in a rout.
We don't really have a weapon on Offense like we did last year in Calos and Trent. From the choppy epsn stream, our receivers couldn't get open in the first 3 quarters against FCS team.
Our D couldn't stop the run and our 2ndary will be picked apart against decent to goo QBs.
We are REALLY good at reciever. They or the RBs were open every play. JMar was shaky, but will be fine.
Our D is bad because our LBs are bad again. We have one good LB.

Random Thoughts:
JMar took awhile to get into a grove with the receivers. He will be fine.
It was good to see Dancy back.

Refs just flat missed several obvious holds. One had our lineman held with both arms wrapped around him.
The phantom Veal fair catch. I didn’t see it. None of the other refs saw it.
Skip was in the ear of the line judge the WHOLE night.
Northwestern “fans” were annoying. Their band trolling our move the chains chant was stupid. The demon mascot trolling our fans was worse. He was asked to leave several times.
Glad to get the W and this first game behind us!
I can't help but be a bit more concerned about our home game next weekend!

Almond had a full-body cramp. That's what they said. His absence in the 3rd qtr with the game tied was a major contributor to our win. Of course, Hogdawg dismissed Almond as some non-factor lousy QB. Well, HD......wrong! By the time Almond got back in, the game was effectively over. We had a 2 or 3 TD lead and the Demons were smoked. It was cramp city for NSU in the 2nd half.
STUPID turnovers! Sheeesh! Yeah, they handed one to us, the fumble return on the kickoff, but we gave that one back with the 2nd half kickoff fumble.
Not much anyone can say. I guess Holtz summed it, "happy to get the win." Which he repeated several times. Can't say so and so played well, or this group or that group had a good game. Nope! just "happy to get the win." That's why he left Smith and the #1 offense out there until the end. They needed the reps.
If we play this poorly next week, we'll get blown out.
