I didn't notice it being that dark in the stands below the press box, but it sure WAS on TV.

It was dark up there. The problem is, the lights that are aimed at lighting that portion of the west side (the portion directly below the Press box) is shielded by the new press box itself. A couple of the new stadium lights are mounted too far back (towards the street) and their light is simply blocked by the front of the press box. It leaves this particular section in question inside a large shadow.
It's going to have to be fixed. The first time some elderly person trips and falls because they can't see the steps, it's going to be lawsuit city.
Frankly, it appears to be an engineering snafu that's probably easily correctable. But I'm disappointed that this would happen at our "engineering" school.
Looked great, the announcers where knowledgeable and not annoying like most TV guys doing G5 broadcasts.
They were told to light the field. With LED lighting the beams are aimed to go straight to the field, pressbox or no pressbox.

Need more light in the stands so fans can see to eat and look at their phones.
