Scary stat. State's defense held Charleston Southern to only 33 yds for the entire game. That's hard to do regardless of the competition
I think the MSU D is the real deal and going to give us fits. I hope the O line is not as bad as everyone says they are.
We will have several big time HS recruits in Ruston on Saturday for our game. One of them is a stud sack machine DE from Dallas; he has ~20 offers.
One thing for sure, we will find out just how good our BULLDOGS are this weekend!
GO LaTech Bulldogs!
2008 Louisiana Tech vs Mississippi State
Only five QBs in the SEC since the 2000 season have been more productive running and passing than Fitzgerald; Tebow, Newton, Manziel, Prescott, and Hurts. So, well....bring plenty of beer.
We're not Charleston Southern. Allen (TX) High School could hold Charleston Southern to under 100 yds.
Stop getting all wigged out. This is the same Miss State team that finished 5th in the SEC West in 2016, with a 6-7 overall record (including bowl win). The same Miss St that LOST to South Alabama 21-20 in game 1, and the same Miss State that struggled to beat UMASS 47-35 in game 4....a team Tech obliterated 56-28, on the road. This is the same Miss State team that beat FCS Samford at home 56-41 in game 8, and barely beat Miami of Ohio, 17-16 in the St Petersburg Bowl.
If there's one thing LA Tech should NOT be against Miss State, it's "afraid". We should be anxious to play those bastards and get some revenge for the whooping we took from them and Dak Prescott in 2015.
The funniest thing about that 7 min video is at the 5:00 mark. The color announcer says "If you are LA Tech, you can't simply run between the tackles and push this pile.... but you need to have some innovation and some misdirection if you're going to get into the end zone."
On the very next play, Patrick Jackson scores on a draw play RIGHT UP THE MIDDLE. To the color announcers' credit, he did follow up by saying "and whatever I say, don't believe it".
LOL!!
