And if the towel had interfered with the ball, is there a penalty on that? I would think so, otherwise every defender will carry and then throw a towel at the ball.
Saw something similar in an NFL game when a DL threw a towel at the ball as the QB was passing. On the replay you could see where the towel came from. The DL ripped off the OL who was blocking him, and then he hurled it at the ball. The TV guys just laughed it off and did not say whether that would have been a penalty.
Would possibly have been ruled an unfair act. Happened last week in the ULCA game as a matter of fact. Wasn't called then either but it didnt actually interfere.
Saw parts of the 3rd quarter in the pressroom on my iPhone (with wi-fi connection).
Excellent production. Talking heads were so-so.
Our radio team had to use the Learfield home office in Jefferson City, Mo., for network assist since our flagship is still hampered by a lightning storm earlier this month. (The Nitzer's scoring highlight radio replays were a very nice addition).

Personally I didn't like whoever was doing the directing or camerawork, it was way to damn zoomed in most of the time, or things were just really poorly timed. One drive by us, you barely got to see anything before the 3rd play ( 3rd down ) because they kept showing a fullscreen PiP of an interview with Coach Holtz from earlier. The image quality was solid, but whoever was operating the actual footage did poorly at times imo.
