I dont know why yall dont think that pic is funny as hell
ESPN sucks!!
ESPN owns the bowls....
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
If you own a company, you own the contracts and can thereby fulfill the contracts or alter the contracts as you see fit
TV partners (or lack thereof control) the bowl assignments - NOT the conferences
You sue the bowl, you are suing espn - and we see how that worked out so well for CUSA last time around

Well, I don't know about you, but I do own a company, and you can't just walk away from your contractual obligations. You're simply making the case that ESPN controls everything, so it doesn't really matter what CUSA thinks or says. If that's the case, the title of this thread is misstated. It should say "ESPN swaps Armed Forces/Heart of Dallas". FIFY.
Tell your clapping seal, DawgPix, I'll be here all week.
Let's forget about who C-USA plays in the bowl game, this is a better deal for fans
Armed Forces Bowl is on a Saturday (December 23) at 2:30
Heart of Dallas is on a Tuesday (December 26) at 12:30
While I agree with your specific point here (that CUSA probably should have defended the one bowl game we have against a P5 team - and usually one that can be beat) I think that probably what's best in general for CUSA is accommodating their television overlords. And while it would be well outside of our usual experience with both the WAC and CUSA to date, it's at least possible that there was some level of behind the scenes negotiation to our favor here (such as a handshake deal for filling the Big 10/Big 12 spot when it isn't filled or some help swapping teams around going forward).
The real drawback here for you and me, is that if the conference continues to try not to send the same teams to the same bowls two years in a row this means Tech probably won't be headed to the Metroplex for a bowl.
