Dawg 80 can fight his own battles, but --like it or not-- Navy was still ranked #25 when we played them. The record books will show that LA Tech defeated #25 Navy in that bowl game. And that's pretty much the end of the story.

So, Navy enters the game ranked #25 (which is what we've been saying) but after that, they drop out of the Top 25? So? Isn't that what usually happens to a team ranked 25th who loses? UCLA was ranked #25 but lost to Memphis. I suspect they'll slip out of the Top 25 now. So...I suppose that means that Memphis has NOT won four straight vs. ranked teams at home, since today, UCLA is no longer ranked?

The CFP is released on selection Sunday Dec 4th when the playoffs are announced. Again that poll only matters to determine the four playoff teams and the top G5. Navy dropped from the top 25 AP and Coaches Poll after the loss to Temple on December 3rd. They ended up at 25 in the CFP then lost to Army the following week.

Based on that poll they are still #25.

That was what I remembered. The loss to Army was after the final CFP poll ranked Navy #25.
