4th quarter LA Tech defense- pitched a shutout the final period while the offense scored 10 to win it.
Jared Craft is starting to become that punishing inside runner that we've needed. The Tech OL had arguably their best game of the 3-game season thusfar.
Jonathan Barnes will be yet another NFL kicker from Louisiana Tech.
No huge mistakes by our special teams.
The defense held WKU to 18 total yards offense in the 4th quarter and forced 4 punts, most critical stop being after the offense handed the ball back to WKU via interception with 3:31 left in the game.

Leading tackler of the game- LA Tech MLB Brandon Durman had 9 tackles (5 solo), 1 sack for -6 yards and 1 tackle for loss for -6 yards.
Two BIG stops by Durman and Ferguson, and, of course, then there's Barnesie.

Did not do Stadium to view the game....listened to Nitz - it is unreal we have the best football PBP announcer in the world working for us.
our kicker will be in the NFL this time next year - hope we have a good one coming in to reload
we came back and won a close game with Holtz - it had seemed like we were not getting the breaks in close game with Holtz at the helm.
J'Mar - appeared he is improving
I know there was a Jaylon personal foul (that I don't think we ever saw what was called), but in general we played a clean game when it came to penalties ...no soul crushing penalties.
We did have one soul crushing TO, J'mar's interception. BUT, the defense came with a BIG stop. I fully expected that TO to be it, because TECH. But Jaylon in company delivered.
Holz was the better coach on the field last night IMO.
Jarred Craft has a nice all-around game. Like he often does, but in particular he had a couple of really nice runs in the last two drives.
We won a close one (Skip & Co. is getting better at delivering on those)

Just looked it up......the last one-point win was against New Mexico State in 2007 (22-21). Of course, the last one-point loss was last year against Arkansas (21-20). The most memorable one-point wins were against Michigan State in 2003 (20-19), and against Alabama in 1999 (29-28)

Positive - the 4th quarter. The Dawgs owned WKU in the 4th. I am still glowing from the 4th quarter comeback and stuffing WKU time and again in the 4th.
The interception by J'Mar was as good as a punt (probably better). He missed the receiver he should have thrown to, but the receive he did throw to could have broken up the pass. Good receivers play defense when they have to.
If it wasn't for trick plays, WKU would have been a lot worse off. They had their O rolling but it often amounted to no points on the board unless they used a few trick plays.
