Between now and next spring, I fully expect LSU to cancel their 2018 meeting with LA Tech. There's no way LSU fans are going to stand for a loss to LA Tech. That means there's too much risk involved for the LSU AD and coaching staff to keep that game on the schedule. They'll buy it out.
I totally agree that this will happen. It would be a huge surprise if we play next year. We are loaded with talent and just have a few things to work out to be clicking on all cylinders. They are stumbling around and do not have a good coach. If their AD plays this, they will run him out if we win it.
Anyway, right now I am still waiting for our offense to get it together. I hope we see a huge offensive performance this weekend AND our defense remains steady. On a good note, no team we have played is better conditioned that us this year - not even MState.
AND with lsu's schedule, I would love nothing more for them to not only NOT make a bowl, but actually have a losing season this year. They have a tough road ahead and haven't shown they can win many.
Every game we do not win is not a WTF game, the USC game we shut them out for three quarters, there was some decent football played in there somewhere. I have to agree with Dwayne, USC got a couple of great breaks that led to them winning. It does seem we get a lot of bad breaks ourselves, some of those have just been to hard to overcome.
it is said that you make your own luck, just remember, there are two teams out there trying to make there own luck, both them are not going to get it all at the right times.
Can LSU buy our game out, I mean can they afford it? They already hired a coach on the cheap and if things are not going well, looks like they would save that money to put towards a new coach. I do not think things are as well "financially" in tiger land as some would like everyone to believe.
I suspect if our year goes really well and this team turns into a well oiled machine they will want to buy it out, but will they be able to pull the trigger on it. I don't think they have a good option either way, buy us out and they look chicken, keep it and play us a close game or get beat and look bad.
This all reminds me of a naughty joke about an egotistic flea and an elephant, but I digress. I'm all for the $$$$$by-out, if we can run quickly and make arrangements to parlay a deal with Liberty for even more $$$$$.

DS65, you don't know me from Adam. I do however know your type. You have the small-time attitude that is satisfied playing close with a mediocre P5 program. We should be wayyyy past being satisfied with playing close in these games.
Sure SEC progams have far more cash and other resources than we have, but we were at a minimum equal in talent to USC. You will have to excuse me that I am not willing to hop on your wagon of mediocrity.
You can attempt to ridicule me as "smart" and "genius", but I will never be satisfied with conservative play calling in these big venue "Money Games".
Your type is ecstatic to beat, NWST, NLU, and Arky St........that doesn't wet my appetite.
What were our last four plays before the last FG on first down?
